If your organization has ever tried to post a research position or internship and gotten either no responses or a flood of irrelevant applications, you already understand the problem Nexsyna was built to solve.

Most tools for connecting organizations with students were designed for a different era - one where you post, wait, and hope. Nexsyna approaches it differently: structured profiles, interest-based matching, and a discovery flow that surfaces the right people on both sides.

What Nexsyna is

Nexsyna is a student-opportunity matching platform. Organizations post opportunities, students and researchers browse and express interest using a swipe-based discovery flow, and both sides connect directly when there is a mutual fit.

Think of it as a structured discovery layer between your organization and the talent pool you want to reach. Instead of candidates finding you only if they happen to search the right keywords on the right day, Nexsyna actively surfaces your opportunity to the students most likely to be a strong match.

Who uses Nexsyna

Nexsyna is built for organizations on one side and students on the other.

On the organization side, that includes:

  • University research labs looking for undergraduate or graduate researchers
  • Companies posting structured internships or co-op positions
  • Nonprofits and community organizations seeking skilled volunteers
  • Hospitals and clinical programs offering shadowing or research opportunities
  • Any team that works with students and wants a better way to find strong-fit candidates

On the student side, Nexsyna is used by undergraduates, graduate students, and early-career professionals looking for research positions, internships, volunteer roles, and shadowing programs.

How the matching works

When your organization creates a posting on Nexsyna, you define the specifics: opportunity type, field of study, required skills, preferred candidate level, format (remote, in-person, hybrid), and compensation. You can also add open-ended prompts that let you describe the team culture or what a strong candidate looks like in your own words.

Students who match your criteria see your opportunity in their discovery feed. They can swipe to express interest, save it for later, or pass. When a student expresses interest in your posting and you indicate a match on your end, a connection is made - and you can message each other directly within the platform.

This bilateral matching means you are not just getting applications from everyone who clicks - you are getting introductions from people who already showed genuine interest.

What makes it different from a job board

Job boards are built around search. You post, a student searches for keywords, and maybe they find you. The discovery is entirely passive and depends on the student knowing exactly what to search for.

Nexsyna is built around surfacing. Your opportunity is shown to students who fit your criteria whether or not they knew to look for something like it. That means you reach students who are a strong fit but would never have found you otherwise - often the students you most want.

Profiles on Nexsyna also go beyond a resume. Students answer open-ended prompts that give you a sense of their motivations, working style, and goals. You learn more about who they are before the first conversation, which makes your initial outreach more informed and more efficient.

Getting started

Setup takes about 15 minutes. You create an organization profile, add your opportunity posting, define your ideal candidate, and you are live. There is no technical setup, no integration work, and no long onboarding process.

Nexsyna is currently in beta, which means early-access organizations get direct input into how the product develops and priority access as the platform grows.
