Privacy Policy

Introduction
Nexsyna ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Nexsyna mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. Please read it carefully. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: email address, date of birth, password (stored as a salted hash by Supabase).
- Profile content: name, profile photo, bio, location (city), field of study or work, skills, certifications, languages, work preferences, education history, experience history, and prompt responses.
- Opportunity details (Poster accounts): organization name, opportunity title, role description, required skills, and compensation information.
- Communications: messages you send to other users through the in-app chat.
- Imported data: if you use the LinkedIn import feature, we receive name, headline, and profile information from LinkedIn that you authorize.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: swipe history (pass/connect actions), matches, and connection activity - used to power the matching algorithm.
- Device identifiers: push notification token, device platform (iOS/Android) - used to deliver push notifications.
- Crash and performance data: anonymized crash reports and performance diagnostics collected via Sentry, identified by user ID (not email).
iOS-specific permissions:
- Camera: used only when you choose to take a profile photo. We do not access your camera in the background.
- Photo library: used only when you choose to select a profile photo from your device. We do not scan or access other photos.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To power the matching algorithm that surfaces relevant opportunities or candidates.
- To enable in-app messaging between matched users.
- To send push notifications for new matches and new messages (only if you grant permission).
- To process and manage premium subscriptions via RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchases.
- To investigate reports of abusive or objectionable content submitted through the in-app Report function.
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability using anonymized crash data.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described below:
- Other users: Your profile (name, photo, bio, skills, prompts, location) is visible to other Nexsyna users as part of the matching experience. Messages are visible only to the matched parties.
- Supabase: Our database, file storage, and authentication infrastructure provider. Data is stored in Supabase-managed servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Google: If you sign in with Google, Google receives your login request. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple: If you sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates your identity. See Apple Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and receipt validation for premium features. RevenueCat receives your user ID and purchase history. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Expo / EAS: Manages app builds and push notification delivery. See Expo Privacy Policy.
- Sentry: Receives anonymized crash reports identified by user ID (not email). See Sentry Privacy Policy.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the in-app "Delete Account" function (Settings), we permanently delete your profile, messages, matches, swipe history, badges, uploaded photos, and authentication credentials from our systems within 30 days. Some anonymized aggregate data (e.g., total number of matches created) may be retained for statistical purposes but cannot be linked back to you.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We require all users to confirm they are at least 13 years of age during sign-up. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and data promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@nexsyna.com.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate profile data directly in the app, or contact us.
- Deletion: Use the in-app "Delete Account" button (Settings) for full deletion, or email support@nexsyna.com.
- Portability: Request an export of your profile data by emailing support@nexsyna.com.
- Objection / Restriction: Contact us to discuss limiting how we process your data.

Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, row-level security policies in our database, and secure storage for session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@nexsyna.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or sending a push notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
